OMIC Reframes Its Digital Presence in Healthcare with a Modern, Member-First Website
The Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company (OMIC) has long been a trusted partner in healthcare, supporting ophthalmologists with expert guidance, educational programs, and vital resources. However, as digital expectations grew across the industry, OMIC’s outdated website no longer reflected its leadership or provided members with the experience they needed. To modernize its healthcare digital presence, OMIC partnered with Project6 to design and develop a secure, accessible, and member-focused platform that strengthens its role as a leader in ophthalmic risk management.

OMIC Reimagines Its Online Presence with a Fresh, Member-Centric Website
For years, the Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company (OMIC) has been a trusted resource in healthcare for ophthalmologists, offering everything from risk management seminars to articles and required forms. But although the organization’s resources were first-rate, its web presence wasn’t keeping up. The previous website wasn’t mobile-responsive, difficult to update, and lacked a unifying brand presence. Worse, some of OMIC’s premium content was accessible to the public—diminishing its value to insured members.
Recognizing the need for an evolution, OMIC partnered with Project6 to bring clarity and modern design to its web presence.



From Complexity to Clarity
Project6 began with a full audit of OMIC’s vast resource library. With efficiency in mind, the team developed editorial tools that streamlined OMIC’s internal review process for content, making it easier to publish updates live site-wide. The redesign debuted a new, scalable site focused on OMIC’s brand identity—complete with refreshed visual language, contemporary palette, and new imagery.
One priority was member exclusivity. Working with OMIC’s internal developers, Project6 implemented a secure mechanism to gate premium content and personalize the experience for insured users.
A New Standard for Digital Engagement
The result is a site that properly represents OMIC’s leadership in ophthalmic risk management. WCAG-compliant from the ground up, the site now provides an effortless, mobile-friendly experience. Members can find current forms, register for events, and access member-only resources with ease from any device, while intuitive editorial tools allow OMIC staff to keep content fresh and relevant.
