2025 Annual Report Design for the Glaucoma Research Foundation
We’re proud to unveil the newly released 2025 Annual Report for the Glaucoma Research Foundation (GRF)—one of the many nonprofit and foundation organizations we support. This is a publication we designed, produced, and managed through final printing. The Annual Report brings to life the groundbreaking work of scientists supported by the foundation.
Each year, the Glaucoma Research Foundation shares the scientific advances, donor impact, and patient education initiatives that drive their work toward a future free from glaucoma. This year’s theme, “Accelerating Discovery — Advancing Hope,” reflects the organization’s expanding research portfolio and bold investments in treatments that preserve and restore vision.
Print Design That Highlights Purpose and Progress
Our team crafted a visual design system that amplifies the report’s core messages—pairing clean, accessible typography with compelling photography of GRF-funded scientists, clinicians, and patients. Key design elements include:
- A bold cover image featuring Catalyst for a Cure scientist Karthik Shekhar, PhD, representing the innovation driving glaucoma research.
- Clear editorial hierarchy to guide readers through complex scientific updates, findings, and impact stories.
- Insightful data visualizations for financials and research investment summaries.
- WCAG-conscious layout choices to ensure readability for audiences that include individuals with visual impairments.
Bringing Complex Science to Life
As part of our ongoing design work for nonprofits and foundations, this year’s annual report design highlights major milestones, including:
- Advancement of two major Catalyst for a Cure research initiatives—the Vision Restoration Initiative (CFC3) and the Neurodegeneration Initiative (CFC4).
- Launch of the Treatment Accelerator Initiative, supporting the crucial step from laboratory breakthroughs to early clinical trials.
- Funding of nine new Shaffer Grants supporting innovative, early-career scientists exploring new pathways to prevent blindness.
Our role was to transform these dense scientific narratives into an engaging, visually intuitive publication that communicates impact to donors, researchers, and the patient community.
Full Production & Print Liaison
Beyond design, we managed all stages of production—file preparation, prepress coordination, and collaboration with print partners to ensure accurate color, high-resolution imagery, and a polished final product. Our production process ensured continuity from digital concept to printed report, resulting in a publication that reflects GRF’s credibility, transparency, and hope-driven mission.
A Continued Partnership in Purpose
We’re honored to support the Glaucoma Research Foundation in its mission to cure glaucoma and restore vision through innovative research. This annual report is both a snapshot of incredible scientific progress and a testament to the power of donor support.
