Project6 Design Wins Two Bronze Awards for Website Design Excellence

The Horizon Interactive Awards, a leading international interactive media awards competition, has announced the 2016 award winners to highlight this year’s “best of the best” in interactive media production.

Project6 Design Wins Two Bronze Awards for Website Design Excellence

Project6 Design was recognized again as an award-winning San Francisco Bay Area website design firm with two bronze awards for the DRK Foundation website (Advocacy / Non-Profit) and Traina Foods (Restaurant / Food Industry).

Project6 redesigned and developed the Traina website from the ground up, working with the team to more fully and visually communicate the brand story and promise. We reorganized the site content more intuitively, helping users to browse rich information or quickly locate a product. We enabled secure partner log in so that partners could leverage key sales tools, integrated a new third-party store locator tool, and, most importantly built a custom ecommerce shop that syncs with their in-house inventory management tools and provides for an intuitive user experience.

The new site is packed with delicious imagery and is scaleable to Traina’s needs. Visitors enjoy an easy-to-use shopping experience and soak up a much stronger sense of the Traina family brand and the high quality of their product. Large partners can quickly find the tools and contacts they need. The updated website sets the foundation for years of growth to come.

DRK wanted an energizing site that matched the tone of its inspiring work and yet was simple to manage. Drawing from the outstanding stories and images of the organizations in the DRK portfolio, Project6 designed a longer page scrolling experience across the site to showcase individual organizations and breaking news. The architecture was simplified and streamlined to create a single, unified portfolio section that enables visitors to browse both people and organizations. In a new community section of the site, DRK’s entrepreneurs and alumni will log in to share events, news, and resources, strengthening their learning and growth. The site is built on the WordPress platform, making it simple for the DRK staff to maintain and grow.

The new website puts the power of the DRK organizations’ missions front and center, and communicates the compelling vision and important work of each organization through strong visual storytelling and insight into the entrepreneurs themselves. Users can browse the DRK portfolio to find organizations that fit their interests or search for jobs across both the organizations and other DRK partners. The site now reaches Millennials and more, seamlessly, across all devices. The result is truly transformative.

Design is also continuing to evolve where you are seeing an equal blend between form and function and those 2 elements are combining to deliver digital solutions that not only look fantastic but have a real purpose. It is clear that digital creatives are paying close attention to performance across all media, brand identity, user purpose and the utility of the solution.”
